In December 2010, two joint task forces were formed between APEGBC and the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC). The APEGBC/ASTTBC Limited License Renewal Task Force was tasked with advising on an improved and more effective limited license system. The ASTTBC/APEGBC P.Tech. Task Force examined proposed implementation of the designation “P.Tech.” in BC, taking into account the Alberta model.  The task forces presented their findings to both Association Councils, and their recommendations were discussed at a joint executive meeting between APEGBC and ASTTBC.

Work is now underway to implement the recommendations of each task force. The task force reports, as well as information releases on work completed to date, are available below.
