APEGBC 2010/2011 Council Election and Bylaw Vote

APEGBC is pleased to announce that voting has opened for the Association’s Annual Council Election and Bylaw Vote.

Last year 27.7% of eligible voters cast their ballot for candidates and the bylaws that establish the process of regulation. This was an improvement in the number of members from the previous year. Voting is a duty that we owe to the professions, to each other as colleagues and to the people of British Columbia.

The website link below will connect you to the 2010/2011 council election statements, background documentation for three bylaws you are being asked to ratify, and the on-line voting module. To ensure your anonymity is protected, your vote will be processed by a secure third-party system.

We trust that you will exercise this duty of care of your profession by taking the time to review the election and bylaw amendment information and to make your voice heard by marking your on-line ballot by noon PST, Friday, October 8, 2010.

Yours truly,

Derek Doyle, PEng, MBA
Executive Director and Registrar
