COMPUTER APPLICATIONS FOR SEISMIC DESIGN
Dr. Mahmoud Rezai P.Eng., StructEng, PhD
This session has been cancelled due to low registration.

This course provides an overview on the effective use and implementation of modern tools of dynamic analysis of new and existing buildings.  It was developed in response to the need for structural engineers to better understand how to use dynamic analysis for the design of buildings that will require this type of analysis in accordance with the NBCC 2005. Various structural analysis techniques for seismic analysis such as response spectra, time-history, and pushover analyses will be discussed.

Problems will be demonstrated using the program SAP2000.  Participants are encouraged to download the limited version of this program onto a laptop computer and bring this computer to the course.
