Geoscience BC Scholarship in Applied Geoscience
Geoscience BC will be awarding up to ten scholarships in 2008 to students enrolled in master’s or doctoral earth science or geoscience programs and working on a mineral or oil and gas exploration-related thesis project in British Columbia. Each scholarship will be worth $5,000.00.
The scholarships will be awarded to students based on their project's technical merit, the ability of the project to attract mineral and oil and gas investment to BC, the student's interest in exploration, and the academic qualifications of the student.
Students will be eligible to reapply for a second year of support for a Master’s thesis project, and a second and third year of support for a Doctorate thesis.
