APEGBC Website Receives Facelift
A brand new website will greet members of the public and APEGBC looking to access the Association online at www.apeg.bc.ca. With a fresh new look, a new menu system and re-organized content, the updated site features a cleaner, more functional design and will improve ease of navigation.
The website is an important communication tool for engaging registered members, potential applicants, and the public at large. It serves as the main portal through which members access many of the Association’s online services, including membership renewal, EIT/GIT experience recording, event registration, job postings and digital copies of association publications. Furthermore, keeping in step with current technology has becoming increasingly critical as a growing number of members are expressing a preference for the expansion of services available online.
The new site design incorporates best practices in website usability to improve the user experience for visitors to the Association’s website. One of the main goals for the website update was to reduce the number of mouse-clicks needed for the user to get to the information they seek. The website features a number of resources available to members including practice guidelines, technical bulletins, compensation survey results, professional development event listings, career awareness information, and information for students. The last major website update occurred in spring of 2002.
