Are you in Compliance with APEGBC’s CPD Guideline?
This fall, members were asked to indicate whether they have met the requirements of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Guideline for the 2008 calendar year by signing a statement on their 2009 annual dues form.
If you did not indicate CPD compliance on the annual dues form and would like to, visit the APEGBC Member Portal and click on “CPD Reporting” to indicate your compliance and report your CPD hours.
Members are reminded that starting in January 2010, APEGBC’s public online member directory will include a “Declared CPD Compliant” note, recognizing members who are complying with the CPD Guideline.
In order to qualify for the CPD declaration note, members must have completed and reported a minimum of 90 PDH (Professional Development Hours) over the previous three-year period (2007, 2008 and 2009) in accordance with the CPD Guideline.
Program compliance is assessed over a three-year period and the third year will not be complete until December 31, 2009 and therefore, 2010 will be the first year that the compliance note will be posted.
To help keep track of CPD activities, members may also use the Online CPD Recording Centre, though use of this system is not necessary to meet the requirements of the CPD Guideline.
