Members Reminded to Report their CPD Compliance

Members are reminded that starting in January 2010, APEGBC’s public online member directory will include a “Declared CPD Compliant” note, recognizing members who are complying with the CPD Guideline.

In order to qualify for the CPD declaration note, members must have completed and reported a minimum of 90 PDH (Professional Development Hours) over the previous three-year period (2007, 2008 and 2009) in accordance with the CPD Guideline. Program compliance is assessed over a three-year period with completion of the third year on December 31, 2009.  2010 will be the first year that the compliance note will be posted.

Members were asked to indicate whether they have met the requirements of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Guideline on their printed 2010 annual dues invoice or during the online Fee Payment process. Members may also report their CPD compliance after the dues payment process by by logging-into the APEGBC Member Portal and clicking on “CPD Reporting” to indicate your compliance and report your CPD hours.

To help keep track of CPD activities, members may also use the Online CPD Recording Centre, though use of this system is not necessary to meet the requirements of the CPD Guideline.
