Court Denies Member’s Jurisdictional Challenge to Discipline Inquiry – Surinder S. Puar, PEng, West Vancouver, BC

In the September/October edition of Innovation we reported that Mr. Puar had unsuccessfully challenged the Discipline Panel’s jurisdiction to hear his case. Mr. Puar sought judicial review in the BC Supreme Court of the Panel’s decision on jurisdiction. In a decision dated January 13, 2009, the Court rejected Mr. Puar’s arguments. The Discipline Panel will be arranging dates for the hearing of the charges in the Notice of Inquiry. Hearing dates are posted on the APEGBC website.
