Cleo Faus "Kip" Gaudry, Former Member, White Rock, BC
Information was received that Mr. Gaudry had been charged under section 163.1 of the Canadian Criminal Code for possession of child pornography. That information was referred to the Investigation Committee of the Association. Pursuant to section 30(3) of the Engineers and Geoscientists Act, the Committee investigated Mr. Gaudry’s charge and eventual conviction at the Surrey Provincial Court on November 22, 2010.
In lieu of continuing the investigation and potentially proceeding to a discipline inquiry, Mr. Gaudry signed a “resignation agreement” with the Investigation Committee. Pursuant to that agreement, Mr. Gaudry resigned his membership in the Association and agreed not to apply for reinstatement of his membership for at least seven years. Mr. Gaudry’s resignation was approved by APEGBC Council on December 2, 2011. On any application for reinstatement, Mr. Gaudry will have to satisfy Council that he is of good character and good repute and that his conviction does not render him unsuitable for membership.
