Engineering Institute of Canada Honours Five BC Engineers
Five APEGBC members were among those honoured at the Engineering Institute of Canada’s (EIC) annual awards banquet in Ottawa on March 4, 2006. Seven medals were presented in recognition of outstanding achievement or service to the engineering profession, and 20 engineers were inducted as Fellows of the Engineering Institute of Canada. Five of those recognized are from BC.
Dr. Victor Sowa, P.Eng./P.Geo. received the Canadian Pacific Railway Engineering Medal which is awarded in recognition of years of leadership and service by members of the societies within the Engineering Institute of Canada. He is also a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada.
Dr. Michael Davies, P. Eng.; Dennis Moore, P.Eng./P.Geo.; Doug VanDine, P.Eng./P.Geo.; and Dr. David Wilkinson, P.Eng. were inducted as Fellows of the Engineering Institute of Canada in recognition of their exceptional contributions to engineering in Canada.
