Participation in National Engineering Survey Needed
The 2008 National Survey of Engineers and Engineering Technicians and Technologists has now been launched and professional engineers are encouraged to take part. The survey will provide important information on trends that affect the engineering profession, such as how engineers are faring in today’s economy, what trends are shaping engineers’ careers, what kind of professional development training provides the most benefit, and what skills are in short supply.
The survey is co-sponsored by Engineers Canada and the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists. With its results, APEGBC will be in a stronger position to put in place polices and programs that will strengthen the profession.
Completion of the survey should take approximately 20 minutes, and survey results are anonymous. To take the survey, visit: www.engineeringemployeesurvey.com.
