APEGBC On-line CPD Reporting Centre Upgraded
Keeping track of your CPD activities just got easier. The On-line CPD Reporting Centre has been redesigned to reflect APEGBC's new Continuing Professional Development Guideline.
New features allow members to carry over professional development hours to future reporting years and to classify CPD activities into the four eligible categories: Formal Methods, Informal Methods, Participation, and Presentations and Contributions to Knowledge.
This voluntary module has been developed to provide members with a convenient, secure place to record professional development activities. The reporting centre allows users to enter activities and edit or delete past activities. It also allows formatting reports based on the information needed, either as a printable screen or as an MS Excel spreadsheet, thus allowing easy manipulation of data to meet reporting requirements of other jurisdictions and professional bodies.
Members are reminded that they will be asked to indicate whether they have met the requirements of the CPD Guideline for the 2007 calendar year by signing a statement on their 2008 Annual Dues form. For ease of record keeping, members are encouraged to enter their CPD activities in the On-line Reporting Centre. Alternatively, members may generate their own forms for maintaining records of their CPD activities.
Members should not submit detailed records as part of the CPD reporting process, but should keep supporting documentation (e.g., certificate, receipts) on file for audit purposes for four years after the date the activity occurred.
