Concrete Construction Awards Accepting Entries

The deadline for entries for the third annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete Construction is 4 pm on Friday, March 14.  Hosted by the BC Ready-Mix Concrete Association, the awards celebrate vision and innovation in the use of ready-mixed concrete. APEGBC members and their companies are invited to submit their concrete project in one of eight categories:

  1. Architectural Concrete;
  2. Cast-In-Place Structures;
  3. Concrete Paving;
  4. Mid-to-High Rise;
  5. Public Works;
  6. Residential: a) Single-family or b) Multi-family;
  7. Special Applications: a) Technical Merit or b) Artistic Merit; and
  8. Tilt-Up Structures.

A jury of construction experts will deliberate the merits of submission in eight categories, and finalists will be announced on April 14, 2008.  The winners in each category will be held in confidence until the Gala Evening on May 15, 2008 at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel.
