Joint Scholarships To Aid Technology Development and Commercialization

BC Innovation Council (BCIC) is offering two new joint scholarships aimed at strengthening the connection between technology development and its successful commercialization. As a part of BCIC’s Accelerated Commercialization Enhancement (ACE) initiative, science and engineering graduate students granted BC Industrial Innovation scholarships will work together with recipients of the MBA Access to Commercialization Scholarship. They will develop a business plan and present their project to a panel of industry executives and investors.

This collaborative model is intended to support the development of advanced technology and commercialization. The scholarships are part of a $2.75 million BCIC funding initiative. Each BC Industrial Innovation Scholarship is provides $20,000 - $25,000 annually, while $15,000 will be provided to the MBA students during the span of their program.

The BC Innovation Council is a Crown Agency of the Province that works closely with the Ministry of Advanced Education to promote awareness and commercialization of applied science and technology.
