Agreement Notice – Edward Kai Yuen (Ed) Lim, P.Eng., Burnaby, BC
The March/April 2009 issue of Innovation contained a notice regarding the outcome of Mr. Lim’s disciplinary inquiry, in which he was found liable for one of four charges of unprofessional conduct. Three other charges were dismissed. Mr. Lim was reprimanded and ordered to undergo a practice review at his own expense.
Mr. Lim filed an appeal in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Association filed a cross-appeal. The entire matter has now been resolved by agreement. The Association has consented to Mr. Lim’s appeal and abandoned its cross-appeal. As a result, all charges have been dismissed for all purposes and all penalties reversed.
Mr. Lim was recently randomly selected for a practice review and, as a part of the agreement, has agreed to pay the cost of his practice review. That practice review has now been successfully completed.
