Staff Appointment - Associate Director, Internship and Licensing
APEGBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Granadino, P.Eng., as Associate Director, Internship and Licensing.

Mr. Granadino holds a B.Sc. and civil engineering diploma from Universidad Catolica in Lima, Peru, and a Master of Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a registered professional engineer in BC and Ontario.
Having conducted engineering projects in Canada, the U.S. and South America, Mr. Granadino has extensive experience in project management, risk assessment, and conventional and innovative seismic rehabilitation. At Public Works and Government Services Canada, he was Discipline Head of Seismic Engineering in Pacific Region where he advised on, and was responsible for the seismic evaluation and retrofit planning/design for a large number of facilities and structures in British Columbia. At EQE International, Seattle, WA, he performed probable maximum loss studies and evaluations of facilities for insurance and risk mitigation purposes, including site studies in California and Chile. Later he was a Senior Associate at Pacific Geodynamics and most recently Associate Director, Facilities Management at Simon Fraser University.
Mr. Granadino has been involved in numerous aspects of emergency preparedness and disaster response planning. His background and experience in engineering, education, codes and standards, and senior management will be a significant asset in supporting the training and evaluation of candidates for licensure, and in APEGBC’s continuing review of its registration processes and policies.
