Renewal of MOU with IstructE

APEGBC recently renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). The purpose of the agreement is to set out the terms of use of the IStructE Membership Examination by APEGBC to qualify candidates as Designated Structural Engineers and to articulate the intention of both parties to work towards recognition at the full professional level for APEGBC members who have successfully completed the examination.

The signing ceremony took place on April 22, 2008 at the APEGBC offices, with the president of IStructE, Sarah Buck CEng, and APEGBC president Janet Benjamin, P.Eng. signing for their respective organizations.
