Industry/Student Mixer Night At UBC on November 19

APEGBC and UBC's Engineering Undergraduate Society are hosting an upcoming UBC Engineering Student/Industry Night on November 19, 2008. This event will connect students with members of industry in an informal setting to help students better understand their future professions while increasing and developing valuable relationships with industry.

The evening will focus on ‘Bridging the Generation Gap in the Workplace,’ and will feature a presentation by Rachelle Lee, Senior Consultant and Manager with Einblau & Associates Ltd., providing engineering students with useful skills for achieving career success, and the opportunity to start building their industry contacts.

APEGBC student members are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity to learn about the industry from practicing professionals, and begin building a valuable network of industry contacts. Students can register online for this free event at www.apeg.bc.ca/event. Please register early, as space is limited.

Industry professionals are invited to come out and share their unique experience and advice with engineering students. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for this event. To RSVP for the event, or for sponsorship details, please contact APEGBC Student Program Coordinator Amit Plaha at aplaha@apeg.bc.ca, or by phone at (604) 412-4891.
