Discipline Notice – Elzbieta Lawrynowicz, Delta, BC
Elzbieta Lawrynowicz accepted a Stipulated Order in 2007 for having signed, sealed and delivered structural design drawings for temporary structures to the City of Vancouver that contained a number of deficiencies. As part of her penalty, Ms. Lawrynowicz was ordered to undergo a practice review. Ms. Lawrynowicz’ practice review was found not in compliance. The matter was forwarded to the Reviewing Member of the Discipline Committee for consideration of further penalties in accordance with the terms of the Stipulated Order and the Engineers and Geoscientists Act. In lieu of further penalties, Ms. Lawrynowicz signed an undertaking to the Association to retire from the practice of professional engineering and resign her membership in the Association effective October 20, 2008, and has returned her seals and certificate to the Association. Considering there is no greater penalty than the loss of practice rights, the Assocation is satisfied with the resolution of this matter.
