Stipulated Order – Elzbieta (Elizabeth) Lawrynowicz, P.Eng., Delta, BC
A complaint was received by the Association from the City of Vancouver regarding documents received from Ms. Lawrynowicz in support of a building permit application for a temporary structure. The matter was investigated by staff and referred to the Investigation Committee. A sub-committee was appointed which, after reviewing all the materials, found that the work was deficient and recommended an inquiry. That finding and recommendation was supported by the Investigation Committee as a whole and a Notice of Inquiry was issued.
In lieu of proceeding to an inquiry, Ms. Lawrynowicz admitted the deficiencies in her work set out in the Notice of Inquiry and accepted as her penalty:
- a reprimand;
- a practice review (general and technical) at her own expense;
- payment to the Association of $1,900 by October 1, 2007, representing one half the Association’s costs of investigation; and
- that if she fails to make the payment specified in paragraph 3, she will be suspended until the payment is made.
