Building and Safety Policy Branch Issues Bulletin on Structural Design of Part 9 Wood-frame Buildings
In September 2008, the Building and Safety Policy Branch of the BC Office of Housing and Construction Standards issued an information bulletin regarding seismic structural design of Part 9 wood-frame buildings. Bulletin B08-03 clarifies the application of Section 9.4 structural requirements in the 2006 BC Building code, specifically for seismic structural design of Part 9 wood-frame buildings that fall within the scope of clause 9.4.2.1(1).
