Opportunity for Internationally Trained Engineers to Receive Iron Ring
Camp 23 of the Corporation of the Seven Wardens, Inc., Victoria, BC is planning to conduct its first ever autumn iron ring ceremony at the University of Victoria at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2009, if a sufficient number of UVIC graduands confirm their attendance.
If the ceremony proceeds, the Corporation would be pleased to once again present Iron Rings to internationally trained professional engineers (P.Eng.) and engineers-in-training (EIT) who are currently registered with APEGBC and who would be able to attend this Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer Ceremony.
Please note that attending recipients will be responsible for their ring cost of $30.00 and their travel expenses to Victoria (travel to Victoria from Metro Vancouver by BC Ferries on November 10 would require catching the 7:00 am sailing from Tsawwassen).
Interested members are requested to contact Colin Smith, P.Eng. at colinsmith.ca@gmail.com no later than Thursday, October 22, 2009.
Camp 23’s spring ceremony will be held at the University of Victoria, Saturday, March 13, 2010 and internationally trained engineers will also be welcomed on that date on a space available basis.
