Seminar

How can I learn to write a compelling proposal that clearly and concisely articulates the core benefits for a client? How do I know what to look for in a Request for Proposal? This advanced seminar is aimed at Engineers and Geoscientists who wish to develop the confidence necessary to respond to Request for Proposals. Through a series of hands-on workshops, you'll receive feedback on your writing and also learn the key elements of an effective proposal.

Topics presented will include:

  • Understanding, evaluating, and responding to RFPs and other requests
  • Identifying and addressing the client's key issues
  • Reviewing proposals from the client's perspective
  • Learning advanced writing tips

Workshops will cover:

  • Creating a sample RFP and identifying important questions to ask
  • Crafting a sample proposal and learning what to look for when editing your writing
  • Writing effective executive summaries

Please note that this seminar will not address the legal, contractual, or financial aspects of preparing proposals.

This seminar will consist of instructor-led lecturing, exercises, and a series of group workshops. Attendees should bring pen and papers for the seminar.
