Seminar

APEGBC is pleased to present this session in partnership with the BC Building Policy Branch

The recently released 2006 edition of the British Columbia Building Code contains significant revisions in the provisions for structural and geotechnical designs. This one-day seminar will present the major changes in these provisions given in Part 4 of the code.

Participants will gain a high-level understanding of the changes and specifics of the changes which will be of use for carrying out designs and reviews. Seismic design will be emphasized. Current, updated information on liquefaction design will be presented. Topics will also include revised load combinations in limit states design and changes in snow and wind loads.

This technical seminar will be of benefits and interest to building designers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers and geoscientists.
