Much of what we do in project management is affected by decisions we make or influence. Can we predict others' decisions? How do we know if our decisions are going to prove to be sound? What is it our brain DOES to generate a decision?
New neuro science discoveries are confirming or exposing how we think and how we react to different situations. This workshop starts with a look at the ten common mistakes made in project management. We then explore how we can use the power of the human mind, as well as work with some of the "mind traps" that are inherent in thinking, to make better project management decisions. We will work with examples and one basic decision-assessment tool: the Priority Triangle.
This workshop is interactive. Participants will discover how to think differently and use their knowledge and experience to make better decisions. Awareness of "mind tunnels" and "mind traps" will help us in making our own decisions, influencing others and understanding what can lead to poor or inappropriate decisions. Participants will be better armed to manage the decision-making process and through this to avoid decision traps.
