APEGBC is pleased to deliver the Certified Professional course on behalf of the City of Vancouver and the City of Surrey.

The Certified Professional (CP) course covers detailed application of Divisions A, B and C of the 2006 BC Building Code and the 2007 Vancouver Building By-law. The course will also provide an overview of the administrative procedures for operating as a CP in Vancouver and Surrey.

The course is open to anyone to attend, however, strong knowledge of Building Code regulations in Canada and experience in the building construction industry is an asset to successful completion of this course.

* A short update session will be required to practice under the upcoming 2012 editions of the local codes.

** In order to practice as a Certified Professional upon successful completion of the course, registration as an architect with the Architects Institute of BC (AIBC) or as an engineer with APEGBC is mandatory.

Cancellation Policy

Registered attendees unable to attend the event may designate a substitute, provided APEGBC receives written notification at least five business days prior to the event. Registration information for the substitute attendee should accompany the notice. If notice of cancellation of registration is received:

•  10 business days or more prior to the event, a refund will be processed
•  Less than 10 business days prior to the event, no refunds apply

Substitute registrants are permitted up to the day of the seminar and member/non-member fees will be applied. The organizers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than the minimum required participants have registered. Liability limited to registration fee.

APEGBC is an AIBC/CES registered provider offering an AIBC-Accredited activity for 4 Core Learning Units per session.
