The focus is on the development of the underlying strategy required at different stages of the project, including the harnessing of political pressures, the recognition of the personal and organizational changes that need to be made as the project develops to commercial success. The strategy of organization planning to obtain funding from government and other sources is presented.
The Case Studies given in the seminar are real, involving actual projects that the presenter has developed in Canada, UK, Sweden and Qatar.
Peter has a rare combination of technical and commercial experience and extensive international experience as a successful Business Development Consultant and Technology Entrepreneur.
Employers and clients include BP, Suncor Oilsands Group, Dow Chemical, Bechtel, Kvaerner Group, Swedish Government Agencies in the beverage and shipbuilding industries, LM Ericsson, Montubi Italy, Catalyst Paper, Agriculture Canada. He advised Suncor Oilsands Group as Director, Technical Development for two years.
During the past 25+ years he has provided business development/technology commercialization and project management expertise to oil companies, government agencies and multi-discipline engineering contracting organizations.
He has also developed his own ideas to commercial operation in Sweden, UK and Canada.
He has won two awards for innovation from the UK Department of Trade and Industry, and project funding awards from Natural Resources Canada and the National Research Council of Canada.
