This seminar will review the "green" amendments to the Building Code, the BC Energy Plan and other green provincial initiatives, LEED®, strategies for achieving green objectives as consultants and potential liability issues arising from green construction.

Beth Allard, L.L.B - Bull, Housser & Tupper
Beth Allard’s practice encompasses a broad range of construction based claims including professional liability defence for design professionals and builders liens. Beth also does professional regulatory work including disciplinary hearings, challenges to disciplinary action and review of regulatory procedures.
Her recent work includes the defence of structural engineers against claims of negligent design relating to roof collapses and the defence of geotechnical engineers relating to the design of various building foundations, and the defence of architects in claims arising from the architect’s role as both project consultant and project manager. She also acts for Owners in claims for negligent design and construction.
Beth’s clients include ENCON Insurance Managers, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and the Architectural Institute of British Columbia.
