Seminar

Are You Making Million Dollar Decisions Based on Inaccurate Hydraulic Models?

Do not waste another dollar on hydraulic modeling until you attend this innovative training session: “Hydraulic Network Modeling of Water Distribution Systems”. The water distribution modeling training begins with the basics of hydraulic theory as it applies to water distribution modeling, then takes participants through more advanced topics such as working with multiple scenarios, model calibration, pump selection, energy cost studies, extended period simulation, fire flow analysis and water quality. Participants will become familiar with EPANET and use the software to reinforce concepts with the workshop problems.

Participants must bring their own laptop.

Instructor: Werner de Schaetzen, Ph.D., P.Eng. GeoAdvice Engineering Inc.

Dr. de Schaetzen is a leading expert in computer modeling of water and wastewater systems. His work on genetic algorithm optimization applied to water systems has gained him both international recognition and numerous award prizes. Dr. de Schaetzen is also the leading author of over 25 papers published in international journals, conference proceedings and internal research reports.

Dr. de Schaetzen conducted in person training for over 1,000 engineers in water and sewer systems modeling, optimization and analysis in Canada, USA and UK. He also designed, implemented and maintained several hydraulic modeling software applications (GAnet/H2OSURGE/H2OMAP). Dr. de Schaetzen often peer-reviews scientific journals including Urban Water (UK) and the ASCE Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management (USA).
