Seminar

Urban stormwater management and the associated processes have been linked to adverse impacts on aquatic environments. Regulatory agencies are actively pursuing the implementation of impact neutral infrastructure projects and urban development. This seminar will provide an introduction into analytical techniques and methodologies that can be used to quantify impacts and impact reduction methodologies. Engineers working in urban infrastructure planning and design and the land development industry will find this seminar of particular value.

Instructor

Jim Dumont, P.Eng., Senior Technical Specialist – AECOM Canada Ltd.

Jim Dumont has over 30 years of experience in the fields of water resources and civil engineering, including all phases of planning, design and construction. He has been responsible for a variety of projects from planning studies that establish development criteria, to detailed flood relief designs of complex hydraulic systems and municipal infrastructure. Jim brings expertise in both engineering and science of the environment to projects. He has been responsible for design and implementation of large-scale fisheries enhancement projects and environmental assessments. Jim has been extensively developing and utilizing advanced analytical methodologies for evaluating environmental impacts and mitigation works.

Cancellation Policy

Registered attendees unable to attend the event may designate a substitute, provided APEGBC receives written notification at least one business day prior to the event. Registration information for the substitute attendee should accompany the notice. If notice of cancellation of registration is received:

•  5 business days or more prior to the event, a refund will be processed
•  Less than 5 business days prior to the event, no refunds apply

Substitute registrants are permitted up to the day of the seminar and member/non-member fees will be applied. The organizers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than the minimum required participants have registered. Liability limited to registration fee.
