Seminar

This seminar is offered through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. It will cover matters relevant to employees, businesses and corporations. Participants will gain a better understanding of income tax that will assist with tax return preparation, decision making throughout the year, avoiding and mitigating exposure to problem areas and identifying tax planning opportunities. Improved understanding in these areas will also better enable participants to more effectively understand and communicate with their tax advisers. Topics covered will include:

•  expenses and assets with both a personal and business element

•  income splitting with family members

•  retirement planning

•  incorporation issues

•  concerns and exposures

•  planning opportunities


Instructor

Denise Lammi, B.M.A, C.A.

Denise Lammi has been professionally involved with income tax matters for over 25 years. After receiving her Chartered Accountant designation she specialized in Canadian income taxation with an emphasis on all matters relevant to owner-manager businesses. She co-founded a successful public accounting practice in 1989 and divested of it after 15 years. She has lectured extensively on income tax matters for over 20 years while authoring and mentoring numerous taxation related professional development courses and seminars. Denise's practical experience, tax specialist knowledge and skills at presenting tax material make her seminars lively, practical and informative.
