Seminar Description

Writing without a solid understanding of how to develop concise written communication can be challenging and time-consuming. This skill-building seminar will provide practical, simple solutions for how to express your thoughts succinctly in written format. Whether you are a Member-in-Training or a more experienced professional looking to improve the quality of your business documents, this seminar is a must.

Learn how to:

  • Write effective reports, letters, studies, memos and e-mails
  • Use correct grammar, vocabulary, punctuation
  • Eliminate common errors
  • Design and format written materials for positive visual impact

Instructor

Phil Cunnington, P.Eng., Aplin & Martin Consultants Ltd.

Phil Cunnington, P.Eng., has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering, as both a practicing engineer and in post-secondary education as a faculty member and senior manager. During his career, Mr. Cunnington has been involved with design and project management of land development and municipal improvement projects in British Columbia and Ontario. His experience in post-secondary education in the civil/environmental engineering area includes teaching at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels, development of new undergraduate programs and the management of a graduate program in Construction Management.

Cancellation Policy

Registered attendees unable to attend the event may designate a substitute, provided APEGBC receives written notification at least one business day prior to the event. Registration information for the substitute attendee should accompany the notice. If notice of cancellation of registration is received:

•  5 business days or more prior to the event, a refund will be processed
•  Less than 5 business days prior to the event, no refunds apply

Substitute registrants are permitted up to the day of the seminar and member/non-member fees will be applied. The organizers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than the minimum required participants have registered. Liability limited to registration fee.
