This course is suitable for individuals dealing with P&ID's in all Process industries including Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water & wastewater, and Food processing industries.

A road map of P&ID during hte lifetime of a design project is studied. Symbols, tagging, and basic explanations of popular items in P&ID drawings are among the topics covered and, for broader understanding, the different arrangements of each item is presented. Aditionally given are some rules of thumb.

Innovations in Engineered Site Solutions Seminar

This seminar will provide attendees information on the advancements of grade separation technologies.

  • Retaining Wall Design Software – Demonstration of the Basalite Design program that will allow the designer to design MSE wall systems with multiple design methods (i.e. NCMA and
    FHWA) and perform global stability and compound stability.
  • Selecting the Right Geo-Synthetic – Tencate (Mirafi) will provide the attendees the Do’s and Don’ts in the selection and design for geogrids and fabrics. Also included is the TenCate Geodetect fiber cable monitoring for MSE Structures and SRW connection test data reports that pertain to face of wall connection.
  • Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) Design Advancements – Review the NCMA’s Articulated Concrete Design manual and design spreadsheets that have been developed for the design of these systems.

Geoscientists Canada - 4th International Professional Geology Conference

Geoscientists Canada is hosting 4IPGC - the 4th International Professional Geology Conference in Vancouver. By special arrangement with AME BC (Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia), 4IPGC will coincide with Mineral Exploration Roundup 2012.  Those registered for 4IPGC will be able to attend Roundup, and those attending Roundup can attend 4IPGC.

Under the theme “Earth Science – Global Practice”, the conference will complement the work of international professional geoscientists and align with Roundup. 4IPGC continues the IPGC tradition of providing valuable coverage of topics related to professionalism and practice issues affecting Earth scientists globally.
