| Non-Resident Licensee (NRL) - Geoscience | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

You can apply for a licence to practice geoscience in British Columbia even if you do not have Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status. An NRL will give you practice rights and you will be able to receive all of our membership services, but you will not have voting rights and your licence must be renewed annually. APEGBC does offer a Non-Resident GIT status. An NRL application goes through the same process as all other P.Geo. applications. However, you must include a letter with your application detailing your intentions to practice geoscience in British Columbia. Once you have been granted an NRL you are permitted to use P.Geo. after your name. If you are granted Permanent Resident status any time after you have begun the application process, please submit a certified copy of your Permanent Resident card to APEGBC.
