1: Former NRL whose licence has lapsed less
than one year:
- An application for resumption of practice rights
- 50% of the resumption of practice fee. Please check the FEE SCHEDULE for the most current fees
- A letter of explaination as to why you wish to resume your practice rights in British Columbia
- A certified* copy of your citizenship
if not submitted previously with your application
- Completed Practice Declaration Form
Category 2: Former NRL whose licence
has lapsed over one year but who has been maintaining current active practice rights with another Canadian provincial/territorial Association/Ordre:
- An application
for resumption of practice rights
- Inter Association Mobility Fee. Please check the FEE SCHEDULE for the most current fees
- A letter of explaination as to why you wish to resume your practice rights in British Columbia
- A certified* copy of your citizenship, if not submitted previously with your application
- Completed Practice Declaration Form
- P.Eng.
or P.Geo.
Confirmation Request Form from your current provincial/territorial
Association(s)/Ordre. Please ask your your current Association(s)/Ordre
to mail or fax the completed form to APEGBC
Category 3: Former NRL whose licence
has lapsed over one year but less then three years who does not have active practice rights
with another Canadian provincial/territorial Association(s)/Ordre:
- An application
for resumption of practice rights
- 2 references
** that cover the total number of years since membership
lapsed
- Current professional record of work experience
- Resumption of practice fee. Please check the FEE SCHEDULE for the most current fees
- A letter of explaination as to why you wish to resume your practice rights in British Columbia
- A certified* copy of your citizenship
if not submitted previously with your application
- Attendance at the Law and Ethics Seminar , unless previously attended
- A list of continuing professional development activities during the year prior to application
- Completed Practice Declaration Form
Category
4: Former NRL whose membership has lapsed three years or more who does not have active practice rights with another Canadian Association/:
- An application
for resumption of practice rights
- Current professional record of work experience
- A certified* copy of your citizenship, if not submitted previously with your application
- 2 references ** that cover the total number of years since membership
lapsed
- Resumption of practice fee. Please check the FEE SCHEDULE for the most current fees
- A Letter of explaination as to why you wish to resume your practice rights in British Columbia
- A certified* copy of your citizenship
if not submitted previously with your application
- Attendance at the Law and Ethics Seminar , unless previously attended

- Application to write the Professional Practice Examination, unless previously written and passed

To have a copy certified, make a photocopy of your document
(citizenship card, birth certificate or current passport)
and ask a P.E., P.Eng., P.Geo., or Notary Public to sign and
stamp it as a "true copy of the original".
Alternatively, you may bring your original document to the
APEGBC office and we can make a certified copy for you at
no cost. Please do not send your original citizenship
card, birth certificate or current passport to APEGBC.
** Referees must be P.Eng/P.Geo who have detailed knowledge of your most current engineering or geoscience work and who can attest to your character and practice competancy.
