Change from Non-Resident Licensee to P.Eng./P.Geo. Status

If you have gained Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status, please mail in or fax the following two items:

1) A certified copy of your Canadian citizenship (citizenship card, current Canadian passport) or Permanent Resident Status card.

To have a copy certified, make a photocopy of your document and ask a P.Eng., P.Geo., or Notary Public to sign and stamp it as a "true copy of the original". Alternatively, you may bring your original document to the APEGBC office and we can make a certified copy for you at no cost.

Please do not send your original citizenship card, current Canadian Passport or Permanent Resident Status card to APEGBC.

2) A letter stating that you would like to change from your Non-Resident Licensee status to full P.Eng. or P.Geo. status. Please include your Full Legal Name and your SystemID (if known).

To see the differences between Non-Resident Licensees (NRL) and Professional Members (P.Eng. or P.Geo), please the NRL pages Non-Resident Licensee (Engineering) or Non-Resident Licensee (Geoscience).
