Your use of this Self-Assessment Tool (“Self-Assessment”) is subject to legally binding terms and conditions. Carefully read all of the terms and conditions set out below. This Self-Assessment is to be used only to give the user guidance with respect to the degree his or her education and experience may count towards in applying for membership or licensure with APEGBC.

The questions asked for the Self-Assessment are similar to the questions on the application form. The results of the Self-Assessment will give the user an approximation of whether he or she may qualify for a licence, or for registration as a professional member, or for “in-training” status with APEGBC. It is not an official assessment of the user's qualifications for registration or licensure as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in British Columbia, and is not binding in any way on APEGBC. Applications for registration or licensure will only be considered by APEGBC based on formal applications for membership or licence accompanied by the required fees and original documentation required to support such applications.

APEGBC does not keep a record of the results generated by the Self-Assessment. If the user wants to keep a record of the results of his or her use of the Self-Assessment, he or she can print or save the results from his or her computer.

APEGBC makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, of any kind regarding the content of the Self-Assessment, its accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, security, safety, reliability or the usefulness of any information or results associated with the Self-Assessment, and any such representations or warranties are expressly disclaimed by APEGBC. The user expressly acknowledges that APEGBC is not liable in any way with respect to the user's use of the Self-Assessment or use of any information or results associated with the Self-Assessment, and that all risks of injury, damage or of any other losses rest solely with the user. The user expressly acknowledges and understands changes may from time to time be made to the Self-Assessment's content and that these changes may or may not be incorporated into any new version of the Self-Assessment, and that APEGBC is not liable in any way for any changes to the Self-Assessment.
