Mentor of the Year Award

Terms of Reference

Nominations for the 2012 APEGBC Mentor of the Year award are now being accepted.

A complete nomination package must include:

• Completed nomination form;
• A written submission of no more than 500 words describing your mentor and his/her achievements which, in your opinion, qualify the nominee for the award,
• Any supporting documents (meeting minutes, action plans, 2-5 year mentor plans, etc.) as you may wish to submit.

Please ensure that the nomination form and package are complete before forwarding to the Mentoring Committee. 

The Mentoring Committee will review all nominations, and make a recommendation to APEGBC Council regarding the recipient of the award.  At its discretion, the Mentoring Committee may also carry forward nominations from the previous year. At the discretion of the Mentoring Committee, the award may not necessarily be awarded each year.

All correspondence will be conducted between the Mentoring Committee and the nominator on the nomination form.

The Mentoring Committee would prefer that a nomination not be revealed to a candidate before its consideration by Council. 

Important Dates:

• May 15 , 2012: Deadline for submission of 500-word project summary
• October 2012: Award presented at APEGBC Annual Conference in Victoria, BC
