Our Member at Large responsible for education, Craig Hostland P.Eng. was in the North Okanagan promoting Engineering and Geoscience as a career at the aboriginal career fair, held at Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong, B.C. The career fair brought together not only aboriginal students from the Okanagan and Shuswap, but also allowed the PVSS students in grades 8-12 to peruse the kiosks.

The APEGBC display was a hit. Not only did we entice young people to dare to dream, to aspire to lofty educational goals, but we also taught the young folk about memory designed metals with the expandable Engineering week marketing device.

Several of the young people showed a genuine interest in science and math.
