The Okanagan Branch of APEGBC had a dinner meeting, featuring guest speaker Dr. Michael Isaacson, in the Infusions banquet room at the KLO campus of OUC.

Dr. Michael Isaacson is currently Dean of Applied Science at UBC in Vancouver, and of the new UBC Okanagan. September 2005 will be the first offering of Engineering One at UBCO in Kelowna. Dr. Isaacson spoke regarding the development and future plans for the UBC Okanagan Engineering program. He was an informative and engaging speaker, and took time to answer questions from the audience. People were concerned about accreditation, as well as interested in class sizes, admittance standards, and opportunity for local students.

The event was well attended, and the students in the culinary program at OUC did a great job in creating and enjoyable meal.
