Membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists entitles individuals to numerous benefits. Of primary benefit is registration on the Register of Members providing the legal authorization to practice professional engineering and geoscience in British Columbia under the provincial Engineers and Geoscientists Act. As a self-regulating body under the Act, APEGBC maintains the high standards of professional practice that British Columbians have come to expect, through a comprehensive peer review system.

Communication is a key benefit of membership and APEGBC members are kept informed on professional and Association issues through the APEGBC web site, Branch and Division newsletters and the Association's journal, Innovation.
