Presentation on Annacis Centre of Excellence for Research in Wastewater Management.
(download attachment - 3 MB)
Dear DEP Member,
Thanks for your continued support of the DEP. We’re excited to report that the APEGBC Environment Committee has organized a presentation on Wednesday January 12, 2011 of the Annacis Centre of Excellence program and DEP members are encouraged to take part. The Centre of Excellence has been created to provide leading edge research in wastewater management. This facility will have long-term benefits for residents of Metro Vancouver by creating an integrated approach to wastewater systems which will help partners respond quickly to treatment challenges. In addition to optimizing treatment operations at the plant, the Centre of Excellence will provide laboratory facilities for research, training and equipment demonstrations, and will allow treatment processes to be piloted on-site. This will give partners from various agencies and organizations the opportunity to develop innovative responses to the challenges of sustainability and integrated resource management. Please see the document attached for more information.
The presentation will be provided by Mr. Jeff Chan, P.Eng. of Metro Vancouver and will start at 12:15pm and run through until 1pm. If you wish to take part in the presentation please contact the DEP through email at dep.apegbc@gmail.com.
Many thanks to Mr. Chan and the APEGBC Environment Committee for offering this presentation to our members.
Regards,

Bryan Brassington, P.Geo.
