Career Awareness Program - Outreach

Engineering and geoscience are important to BC’s future, and we want to encourage students to consider careers in engineering and geoscience in order to ensure that the professions continue to thrive in the years to come. Showcasing engineering and geoscience as exciting, rewarding, and challenging careers also raises the profile of the professions by exposing parents through their children to the contributions of engineers and geoscientists to society.

We invite professional members and university students to participate in this province-wide member volunteer program.

If you are:

  • proud of your profession and enjoy your work
  • interested in talking to students and the public about engineering and geoscience and careers in these fields
  • young at heart and in spirit

You’re a perfect candidate for the job!

You will develop speaking and presentation skills, have fun and rewarding experiences, and earn credits for your continuing professional development.

You can select your events and activities, including:

  • curriculum-related presentations in classrooms
  • career information booth events
  • judging at science fairs
  • job shadowing

Please help us support engineering and geoscience career awareness initiatives in BC.
