National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM)

National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM) is a celebration of engineering and geoscience held every year in March. This month-long event promotes awareness of the engineering and geoscience professions, highlights career choices in these fields, and reminds the public of the many ways in which engineering and geoscience touch everyday life.

The 2017 NEGM theme is “My ideas make a difference.” Innovative discoveries and technologies can make a difference in the world—from smart phones to energy efficiency, to new and safer ways to travel. All of these possibilities start with just one idea, and that idea makes a difference to society and to our lives. Professional engineers and professional geoscientists truly make a difference.
