Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd. (KWL) is currently seeking an experienced wastewater treatment engineer to work in our Burnaby office on municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. Projects include feasibility studies, assessments of existing treatment facilities, process design, detailed design, tendering, and construction monitoring. Typical assignments include centralized community treatment facilities, complete with effluent disposal or re-use and leading edge energy recovery systems, and smaller scale onsite treatment and disposal.

What We’re Looking For

The right person...

You enjoy working hands-on and excel at problem solving efficiently, both in the office and in the field. Your qualifications, interests, and experience will include a combination of the following:
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineer eligible for registration with APEGBC.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Experience with treatment processes, piping systems, and pumping systems.
  • Consulting engineering experience is an asset.
  • Experience in equipment selection, and specifications and contract documents preparation.
  • Experience in design of structural and HVAC systems and assets preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • You are rational, organized, and take pride in a job well done.
