The Okanagan Branch invites you to an information evening on how to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)/Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT), and on the process of becoming a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.). The presentation will be hosted by Jason Ong through live video broadcasting. Please read below for more details.

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Becoming an EIT/GIT
6:30 PM – 6:45 PM: Break
6:45 PM – 7:45 PM: Becoming a P.Eng./P.Geo.

Presentation: Becoming an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)/Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT)

This presentation will focus on issues for students or recent graduates and for individuals looking to register within BC who have undergraduate degrees from outside BC or Canada. It will cover topics such as the APEGBC syllabus requirements, reviews of academic records, and processes and options for completing academic requirements.

Presentation: Becoming a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)/Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.)

This presentation will focus on issues for individuals with, or close to registration as an EIT or GIT who are progressing towards professional registration. It will cover topics such as work experience, competency evaluations, law and ethics requirements and the final application processes for P.Eng. or P.Geo. The ongoing responsibilities for professional development will be briefly discussed.
