Cost: $5.00 including GST.

Join us for an informative, fun-filled event aimed at promoting engineering and geoscience in our community and especially to the youth.

This event is part of National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM); an annual celebration of engineering and geoscience across Canada. The goal of this event is to promote the awareness of the engineering and geoscience professions, showcase career choices, and the many ways in which engineering and geoscience relate to our everyday life.

  • Elementary Student Age Group: Sign-in and submit your bridge between 9:00 AM – 9:50 AM. Bridge Testing is from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM*.
  • Middle School Student Age Group: Sign-in and submit your bridge between 10:00 AM – 10:50 AM. Bridge Testing is from 11:00 – 12:00 PM*.
  • High School Student Age Group: Sign-in and submit your bridge between 11:00 AM – 11:50 AM. Bridge Testing is from 12:00 – 1:00 PM*.

*Please note that these times are approximate and the event schedule largely depends on the number of bridges submitted in each age group. Please check back one week prior to the event for an update. Thank you!

Registration Details

Please download and print a copy of the the registration form available below, fill it in and have it signed by a parent or guardian. Take the form and the $5.00 fee (cash only) to the Coquitlam City Centre Library and pick up your bridge kit before the end of March. Take your kit home to design and build your own bridge.
