Peter Mitchell, P.Eng., on behalf of APEGBC, will be joined by the Chair of the Advisory Task Force, Mike Currie, P.Eng., to facilitate a discussion and presentation regarding corporate practice and regulation.

We invite association members and stakeholders to learn about the issues and considerations involved in APEGBC's evaluation of corporate practice, and to provide consultation and input on this topic. For background information and more, see apeg.bc.ca/corporatepractice.

This presentation addresses several issues currently being examined, including:

  • How do organizations influence the practice of engineering and geoscience by individuals?
  • Would the regulation of companies by APEGBC realistically serve the goal of improving public protection?
  • What, if any, types of organizations should be covered by corporate regulation?
  • Which, if any, regulatory model would be best suited for BC?

Please join us in this presentation to also mingle with other branch members, and participate in Q&A regarding corporate practice and regulation.
