March 2017 is “National Engineering and Geoscience Month” (NEGM). This is an annual initiative to raise awareness of the engineering and geoscience professions across Canada. The month-long event is meant to highlight the various academic and career choices in these professions while reminding the public about the important role that these professions play in our society.

Please see below for details.

Test your engineering and constructions skills, have some fun, and get a chance to win some great prizes, all by entering the 2017 West Kootenay Branch APEGBC Popsicle Stick Bridge Building Contest. Build a bridge as strong as you can using only the popsicle sticks and glue provided. Bridges are not built at the competition; they must be built before the competition. There are no step-by-step instructions for this project, but bridges must meet the requirements set out in the rules. Download the information sheet below for more details and locations where kits can be purchased.
