James Kay is a professional engineer, civil, who has been designing, administering, and approving land development and municipal engineering projects across Canada since 2001.
First challenged in ESC in 2004, James proceeded to earn his CPESC, CPSWQ, and CESCL designations, apply best practices to development sites, and teach ESC for over 15 years. James has served on the Boards of PNW IECA, ESCA BC, and ESCA Canada.
James proudly shares that ESC compliance is possible at a reasonable cost. How we approach sites, how we design systems, and how we review and oversee projects makes all the difference.
Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC): Advanced Master Class is a comprehensive advanced online course that will challenge participants to apply best practices to achieve compliance, and deploy best practices in a fiscally responsible and approvable manner for successful implementation.
This course reviews and explains detailed ESC calculations and applies design, costing, and procurement to new site plan challenges. Fundamental concepts for this course are explored in Erosion and Sediment Control: Master Class Fundamentals, scheduled on January 24, 2024.
This session is appropriate for all ESC practitioners including civil, environmental and geotechnical engineers, geoscientists, designers, technicians & technologists, biologists, agrologists, foresters, field staff, project managers, contractors, regulatory managers, and all those active in the ESC industry.
